When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
First, I wanted to be a vet. Then, I wanted to be an Archaeologist. Then, I wanted to be a computer programmer. Last, I wanted to be a journalist.
I want to start learning more about my Camera-Critters friends. So, each week, I'll ask you a question. If you want to answer, leave it in the comments. If you don't feel like answering, that's O.K. too. :-) We've got a great group of people here. So, I thought it would be fun if we got to know each other more.
Welcome to the Camera-Critters meme. We hope that everyone enjoys this meme which is all about photos of animals/critters. So make your post, link back to here, visit other Camera-Critters captures, and have fun!
HUGE THANKS TO ALL OF THE CAMERA-CRITTERS PARTICIPANTS FOR MAKING CC SUCH A SUCCESSFUL MEME.
We try not to complicate CC with many rules, but we do ask that you please use a CC badge or link back to Camera-Critters in some way. Thank you.
And NOW... I just want to work from home blogging and being a virtual assistant and a freelance photographer.
ReplyDeleteMisty, when I was really young I really wanted to be a vet. I just loved all the animals. I am now a Fiscal Tech for a city near where I live. It is not my dream job but it pays the bills and the benefits are good. I wish I could retire now and volunteer at the zoo.
ReplyDeleteHey Misty Dawn, all those things you once wanted to be I also wanted to be. But 7 years of vet school was too expensive. Journalism--well, I did take one course in foreign correspondence as an elective at the university. Programming--fortunately a friend convinced me not to.
ReplyDeleteBut I finally got to do archaeology, yay! And blog, yay!
oh I would LOVE to be a freelance photographer now!!! You, dear one, have a much better chance than I.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was young, I wanted to be a mommy!!
Hi, first time here.
ReplyDeleteVisiting via Jydy's blog.
Your site is absolutely lovely.
When I was young I wanted to be a journalist.
Have a great weekend!
Betty
From the time I was very small I wanted to be a teacher. I realized that dream and loved the time I spent with little ones.
ReplyDeleteToday if I could get paid to blog I'd do it more than I already do!!
I wanted to be an air hostess when I was a girl. It seemed so glamorous. But then when I was a little older, I wanted to be a park ranger and look after kangaroos (I think the tv show Skippy was responsible for that thought). And then a National Geographic photographer. But instead I went to law school :-) Though I still like to take photos.
ReplyDeleteI've always had an active right brain. My Dad was a photographer and I learned a great deal from him. I've also always enjoyed knit and crochet design beginning with making doll clothes at about age seven. Now that I'm retired from a left-brained career as a Certified Public Accountant and Adjunct Professor, I am putting the numbers skills to work designing knit and crochet designs. It all comes together eventually! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this fun blog!
Lois
Wish you success on your chosen path.
ReplyDeleteWell, I wanted to be the first lady in space, then I gave up on that and wanted to be a mom. :0)
ReplyDeleteThis question made me laugh...as a child in the sixties, I told people I would either be an airline stewardess or a pathologist...now I understand why I got such funny looks...LOL!!
ReplyDeleteLike you, all I want now is my camera and my blog...:)
My answer to this question changed I was asked depending on my mood. I remember telling my dad I want to be an archaeologist when I grow up and begged him to buy me a digging tool, a pail, and a magnifying lens to suit me up. That was then. I finished Mass Communications and worked in the development sector :)

LOL - I wanted to be a vet, but discovered I didn't deal well with blood. I ended up being a writer. Writing about blood now and then doesn't seem quite as bad!
ReplyDeleteAnd, your freelance work is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI thought I wanted to be a brain surgeon, orchestra conductor--but I never learned an instrument and I have a weak stomach. Sooo, its the next meaningful novel written by me. . .someday.
Thanks for asking!
I wanted to be a dancer. Of course I dance about as well as I sing, and my singing sounds strangely similar to a nail scraping across a rusty bucket. So, instead of pursuing a career with the Rockettes, I found a pretty darn good desk job. Now, I'm working in the courthouse here in town, and I've been writing with some success. I'm still trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up. ;)

ReplyDeleteHi Misty. I never dreamed of becoming a nurse. When I was young I wanted to be a designer because I love sketching and drawing. And nowadays, I want to be a professional photographer. Lol! Wish I could be someday :))
ReplyDeleteSorry, I had to delete my 2 previous comments. Something is wrong with my keyboard :((
Have a nice weekend.

ReplyDeleteI wanted to be an astronaut but then decided to be a physicist when I got older. Ended up going into health care and now I live in Asia. Strange how things turn out.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little I wanted to become a famous film star sitting in a big car and waving to the crowd !
ReplyDeleteHi everyone!
ReplyDeleteMy choice for CC is up, so stop on over.
When I was little I wanted to be a catalog model, but as I got into my pre-teens I changed my mind. From then on I wanted to be a Storm Chaser and I still do. =)

My Dad is a vet and I thought that he worked too much.. I'm now a nurse and I think I work too much! I actually love my job, but my dream job would be to own a green house and be paid to take photos of plants, birds, bugs...
ReplyDeleteWonderful blog!

I totally wanted to be a Park Ranger, which I got to do for a summer in 1988. I wound up becoming a biology teacher so I can teach about nature without having to get a new assignment every season!
ReplyDeleteI have had more than one choice. I wanted to be a song writer, author, and/or an artist. I wish you much success in your desired career paths.
ReplyDeleteOH my I changed my mind weekly. Wait. Fast forward, marriage, two children.. Somethings never change, I am still changing my mind. But writing was always somehow a part of it!
