Camera-Critters #161

Any special Mother's Day plans or a special "Mother" story?

My story is a little different, as my aunt and my grandmother were my "mothers" by the true definition of the word. I will forever be grateful to them for all they did for me and all the taught me.

I want to start learning more about my Camera-Critters friends. So, each week, I'll ask you a question. If you want to answer, leave it in the comments. If you don't feel like answering, that's O.K. too. :-) We've got a great group of people here. So, I thought it would be fun if we got to know each other more.

We don't have Mother's Day in Sweden until May 29th (always the last Sunday in May here). So tomorrow will b e an ordinary Sunday in spring for us - getting the sailing boat ready for the season.

"Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever" is a phrase I think of in regard to my own children - I hope they remember that on Mother's Day :-)

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers in all species. I am forever grateful to my mom who passed in 2006.

I made my mother and my mother-in-law custom photo cards with shutterfly and sadly won't be seeing them as they both live on the other side of the country. And as a mother-to-be I will be thinking about my daughter and what she might be like as she gets older.

Today is the one year wedding anniversary of my middle son and his lovely wife, Laura. They were both off on Thursday so they celebrated then. I'm off to Sacramento to spent a couple of days with them and my granddogs. Laura works a 12 hour paramedic shift today and Alex does a crazy midnight to 4AM shift at Safeway so my anniversary gift to them will be a nice champagne dinner when they finally have a few minutes together.

My other son is with the AF reserves for four weeks in New Mexico and my youngest, 26th, is still nursing the worst sprained ankle ever. He keeps reinjuring his old Cal Poly decathlon injury!

My own dear mother is in assisted living in Georgia. She no longer knows who we are or who she is. It is too sad for words!

I lost my mom in 2007. She was 83 but we would all have loved to keep her longer.
I have no children of my own, but my eldest niece and my very-much-younger brother often phone me on Mother's Day.

Our Mother's Day is at December 22 th. My mother has passed away since 1999. I still have no kid, so, we don't celebrate it...

Hiya Misty Dawn,

My first visit to your meme. Should be fun to go round and visit.
We had our UK 'Mothering Sunday' about three weeks ago. Hope you enjoy yours.

My oldest son has invited me over for a home cooked breakfast before heading off to church. I took Mom out today because my favorite buffet will be packed tomorrow, but we need to cherish Mom every day!
